In this report, we described our experience with cranial pilocytic 14-year-old child, who initially treated near total decompression of tumor. Four and half years later, recurrence primary tumor obstructive hydrocephalus occurred for which he underwent ventriculo-peritoneal shunt followed by re-excision. As further treatment was being evaluated radiotherapy view at site, got detected to have significant spinal drop metastasis seen on MRI Spine. Finally, craniospinal irradiation (CSI).

Treatment of this tumor is complete resection and if hydrocephally is present V.P. shunt should be inserted. In the c...
متن کاملSpinal hemangioblastoma combined with pilocytic astrocytoma
The combination of vascular anomalies with gliomas is rarely seen in the CNS, and is defined as "angioglioma". However, the definition, category, and histopathogenesis of angiogliomas remain controversial. Here, we present an unusual case of spinal hemangioblastoma (HB) combined with pilocytic astrocytoma (PA). Spinal MRI revealed lesions extending from T9 to T12 segments, in a "sandwich-like" ...
